Stop and E-Stop Systems (Air-Eagle XLT)

BWI Eagle Air-Eagle XLT indutrial duty wireless stop systems are divided into two catagories: Standard Stop and E-Stop (Failsafe). Both types are equipped with a “mushroom style” button for remote stop of equipment or machinery. Multiple transmitters and receivers can be combined to create a tailored system. When used for alarm indication, independent channels allow a central station to know who sent the alarm. Numerous options are available – contact BWI Eagle for more details.

Our minimum safety requirement for a Stop System dictates that any relay or relays responding to a command from a “mushroom-style” latching stop button must be programmed to be energized under power. We program the receiver to energize the relay(s) when power is applied, then de-energize when the corresponding button is depressed (or input closed). This provides a higher degree of safety as the relay(s) will also de-energize and shut off the equipment if power is lost to the receiver. The Standard Stop Systems are designed for general, non-critical applications.

Our E-Stop (Failsafe) Systems are designed for critical applications. The system is programmed to send a periodic heartbeat signal that continuously monitors the connection between the transmitter and receiver by keeping one or more relays in the receiver energized and the system running. The linked relays de-energize after a specified timeout period of link-loss: and immediately upon activation of the E-stop button.

In critical applications you need to know the stop funciton is going to work every time. Don't wait until an emergency event to find out the link between your E-Stop and machinery has been interrupted. You leave nothing to chance with our E-Stop (Failsafe) systems.
